In an effort to improve reliability, Engineers from a large chemical plant re-designed the impellers in one of their side channel pumps to combat broken vanes. As part of their R&D process, they contracted Progressive Pumps to performance test the pump with the newly designed impellers, as well as the factory impellers to compare performance results. We operated the pump at multiple flows to collect flow, pressure and horsepower data, and generated performance curves. Progressive Pumps played a vital part in the R&D process for these pumps.
